One area I want to talk about today is an area I'm a huge fan of, confinement areas. The confinement area gives you the confidence to know Puppy is safe, away from any dangers and can’t get into any mischief when you’re not there to supervise.
Socialisation is the process of becoming familiar with all kinds of animals, people, places, and things; as well as learning how to behave in society. All puppies need socialisation, regardless of breed, type or temperament.
Wanting to understand how your dog thinks and feels must be high on most dog owners list, isn’t it? We all know their little quirky ways and habits, their ability to make you smile at those darn cute antics, but don’t you question ‘why’ sometimes?
Puppy is settling in well, the visitors are keen to come meet your new bundle of fur and you’ve romanticised about this moment… but your cute bundle keeps making a bee line for ankles and trousers. Sound familiar?
You can create such a wonderful bond between yourself and your animal by learning some vital communication skills. I want to share with you part of my reason for my message about enhancing responsible dog ownership.
